Dental Fillings
A Simple Fix For Cavities
A dental filling is a restoration used to repair a tooth that has a cavity. Decay can weaken the tooth over time, and if it keeps spreading, it can reach the inner nerve and lead to bigger problems. That’s why we remove the damaged area early and replace it with a tooth-colored composite filling to restore strength yet maintain a natural appearance.

Stopping Cavities From Doing Major Damage

How Do I Know If I Need A Filling?
Most cavities don’t announce themselves until they’re a bigger problem. This is why we push for regular dental health checkups.
During your exam, we check each tooth for early soft spots or darker areas, then use X-rays to confirm what we can’t see on the surface.
If we spot a cavity, getting it filled early is usually the simplest way to protect the tooth and avoid more involved treatment later.

How Is A Filling Placed?
We start by numbing the area so the procedure is painless and not uncomfortable. Next, we gently remove the decay and clean the tooth so the filling can bond securely.
Then we place a tooth-colored composite in layers, shape it to match your bite, and harden it with a curing light. Once it’s polished, you can get back to normal eating and brushing with a restored, protected tooth.
