CEREC Same-Day Crowns
CEREC Same-Day Crowns in Houston, TX
One appointment, one permanent crown. No temporary, no second visit, no waiting weeks for a lab.
What Is a CEREC Crown?
Designed and Milled While You Wait
A CEREC crown is a full ceramic restoration designed, milled, and bonded in a single visit. We scan your tooth digitally, design the crown on screen, and mill it from a solid block of ceramic in our office while you wait.
The traditional route means impressions, a temporary crown, and a second appointment two or three weeks later. CEREC removes all of that. You arrive with a damaged tooth and leave with the permanent crown already bonded in place.

What you gain by skipping the temporary
Is CEREC Right for You?
CEREC May Be Right If You Have:
A tooth that has fractured or chipped and needs full coverage to stop the damage spreading.
A treated tooth is more brittle and prone to breaking. A crown protects it, and CEREC gets it done the same day.
When too little natural tooth is left to hold another filling, crowning it is the stronger long-term answer.
If travel, work, or childcare makes a second appointment hard to arrange, a single visit solves the problem.
Why Choose Dentiq Dentistry for Same-Day Crowns
Same-day crowns only work when the technology and the people behind it are both in place. We design and mill onsite, so nothing leaves the building and nothing waits on a courier.
Not every tooth is suited to a CEREC crown. If yours needs a different approach, we will tell you at the exam and explain why, rather than fitting the case to the machine.

Most CEREC appointments run about two hours from numbing to bonding. The milling itself takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes, and you wait in the office while it runs.
Yes. A CEREC crown is milled from a single solid block of ceramic, so there are no layers or seams to separate over time. Strength comes from the material and the fit, not from where it was made.
With good brushing, flossing, and regular checkups, a CEREC crown lasts many years. Grinding your teeth or chewing ice and hard candy shortens the life of any crown, so a night guard is worth asking about if you grind.
The area is numbed with local anesthetic before we start, so you should not feel pain during the appointment. Mild sensitivity for a few days afterward is normal and settles on its own.
Most can, but not all. Teeth needing a post and core, extensive gum work, or a different material may be better served by a traditional dental crown. Your exam tells us which is the better fit for your tooth.
Yes. The ceramic block is chosen to match the shade of your surrounding teeth, and there is no metal core to create a dark line at the gumline as gums recede.
Most PPO plans cover a crown at the same rate whether it is milled onsite or made at a lab. We verify your benefits before treatment so you know your share up front.
You can eat normally once the numbness wears off, since the crown is bonded permanently before you leave. There is no temporary to protect and no waiting period.
